TRANSFORMING TEACHER EDUCATION: “ THE IMPACT OF MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACHES "
VANDANA SRIVASTAVA
Abstract
Teacher education is evolving to address the complexities of modern classrooms, which are increasingly diverse, technology-driven, and inclusive. This paper explores how multidisciplinary approaches are transforming teacher education, emphasizing the integration of knowledge from fields such as technology, psychology, sociology, health sciences, and the arts. By bridging these disciplines, teacher training programs equip educators with the skills to create inclusive learning environments, foster critical thinking, and support students' diverse needs.
The benefits of such approaches include enhanced adaptability, holistic skill development, and innovative teaching practices. However, challenges such as curriculum design, resource availability, and faculty preparedness must be addressed for successful implementation. This study underscores the necessity of multidisciplinary frameworks in preparing educators to meet the demands of a rapidly changing educational landscape while fostering a generation of students equipped for the future.
