RELEVANCE OF G20 IN GLOBAL SOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
This paper explores the pivotal role of the G20 in advancing development within the Global South, comprising primarily of developing and emerging economies. The study examines the G20’s influence in promoting economic stability, bridging development gaps, and fostering sustainable growth through its financial policies and initiatives. Key areas of focus include debt relief, global trade integration, climate action, and technological innovation, all of which directly impact the development trajectory of Global South nations. By providing a platform for dialogue between developed and developing countries, the G20 enables emerging economies to voice their concerns on global governance, ensuring their unique challenges are addressed. The paper highlights the G20’s contributions to inclusive economic growth, equitable health response, and digital transformation, underscoring its continued relevance in fostering long-term development in the Global South.
