SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC PROBLEMS OF BEGA TRIBE OF CHHATTISGARH

Abstract

The Bega tribe, an indigenous group primarily located in the Chhattisgarh state of India, faces significant Social and economic challenges. Despite the region's rich cultural heritage and natural resources, the Bega people grapple with poverty, lack of education, inadequate, healthcare and social exclusion.These issues are Compounded by factors such as limited access to land, discrimination and environmental degradation. This research paper seeks to examine the primary social and economic problems facing the Bega tribe, their root Causes and the Bordes implications for their their development and well-being.
