STUDY HABITS AND SELF ESTEEM OF HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THIRUVALLUR DISTRICT

Abstract

This Study examined the relationship between Study Habits and Self-Esteem of Higher Secondary School Students in Thiruvallur District. This Study adopted survey method of research participants were 300 Students randomly selected from various Higher Secondary Schools in Thiruvallur District. The research instruments used for data collection were study habits inventory developed by Dr. Rao (1974) and Self esteem inventory developed by Ken Williams tested at 0.05 and 0.01 level of significance. The findings indicated that there is a positive relationship between study habits and self esteem of Higher Secondary School Students. There is exist significant with respect to Gender, Types of management, medium of Instruction, Types of family, and there is no significant impact in location, order of birth on the Study habits and self-Esteem of higher secondary school students.
